Parlor in the Round

Let’s gather at Parlor in the Round. Borrowing from the guitar-pull tradition of porches and campfires, songwriters from all walks of Alaskan life (and some beyond) will trade songs and stories as they are inspired by each other. Tradition is cast aside as the musicians dive into collaborations, jocular inventions, and premeditated musings all based on written submissions from the audience. Kevin Worrell draws out the strength and vulnerability of each artist while holding the crowd closely throughout the performance.

Sadie Gustafson-Zook is a versatile singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter whose pure voice and hummable melodies balance with blunt lyrics to create honest and serenely cheerful music. Originally from Goshen, Indiana, she performed alongside Garrison Keillor on Prairie Home Companion in 2015, shared the stage with the Steel Wheels, toured with the Theory Expats, performing at the Walnut Valley Bluegrass Festival in 2015, and frequently collaborates with Boston-based mandolinist Ethan Setiawan.
Tim Easton is a highly respected American singer-songwriter known for his exceptional songwriting talent and distinctive blend of Americana, folk, and rock influences. Since the late 1990s, Easton has made his mark with his evocative lyrics and captivating melodies. His distinctive voice and acoustic guitar arrangements have earned him a devoted following, while his music continues to resonate with fans who appreciate his authenticity and the emotional depth of his songwriting.
